Welcome to Germany and Bonn. This blog is to write few of my experiences here and to give some information to people coming here.

I came here in the last week of September'2013.. my first time travel to Germany.

Travel: I took flight from Chennai.. there is no direct flight to Bonn. One has to come via Frankfurt. There are direct flights from Chennai (and other places in India) to Frankfurt. I came by Emirates via Dubai.

After getting down at Frankfurt, you can come to Bonn through train or flight. I came by train. Bonn and Cologne share same airport. If some one wants to come by flight from Frankfurt, they should come to Cologne airport.

there is a train station inside airport at Frankfurt Terminal-1. If you are arriving at Terminal-2, there are free shuttle busses to comes to Terminal-1. Tickets can be bought at the Terminal-1. Ticket cost depends on type of train. I came to Siegburg and from then took a taxi to reach my Hotel in Bonn.

Activating USB on LG LCD tv model: 32LG2100

there is an USB port in this model but it is only for service. but with the below steps, it can be activated to view images, play music and videos.

1.download the 3.15v firmware,it can be downloadable from the below location: http://rapidshare.com/files/291050483/LG_DTV_Firmware_3.15_3.40.zip

2. Extract that file and inside that you will find a folder v3.15 and inside it there is a folder named LG_DTV. Copy it into a USB stick.

3.insert the USB stick into the TV and turn on the TV

4.go to TV menu,highlight the `OPTION` (dont select 'OPTION'. just highlight it).

5.press the FAV button 7 times

6.the installation window will appear,highlight the firmware and press OK

7.the installation starts,don`t press anything,don`t remove the stick,dont unplug the TV.

8.after the installation is completed the TV will restart automatically,by the way,be patient the installation may stop sometimes for a few seconds.

9.after the restartation hold down OK on remote and OK on the TV for about 5 secs (be sure to point remote at TV).

10. It will ask for password: -press 0000 and it will take you into service menu

11. In the service menu, go to 2. TOOLS OPTION 3 and change JPEG to 1 and DIVX to HD (dont change ANYTHING else or you will break TV and NO bluetooth doesnt work unless your TV comes with it)

12. Enjoy your new Tv function,it plays very well full HD 1920 x 1080 .mkv format even if it`s just a HD ready and any other video formats,i tried mine with very large 8Gb movies
